About
I'm Tina and I'm a giant nerd and doctoral student. Historically I have always been a lister. I've been doing theatre since I was a wee child and have always balanced several shows with school and a "social life" (as much of a social life as theatre people have... you all know that thing. "Hey can you hang out?" "Can you have dinner?" "Can you leave the theatre?" ... "Can't. I have rehearsal.") So I've always kept lots of lists and a basic planner to keep all my ducks in a row. My drunk, crazy, sugar high ducks. The lists and plans got crazier as I decided to be a nutter and double major in undergrad and then go for my masters and later my PhD. Apparently I just wanted to be in school For-ev-er!
It was at this point, near the end of my masters degree, that I stumbled onto the planner community. *insert holy trumpets and things here* I was in the middle of a youtube binge (a great destress after exams) and came across planning videos while watching beauty videos. They were so calming. So beautiful. So organized! And there were stickers! And sparkly things! And office supplies! *insert George Takei saying "ooooh myyyy" here* I fell and I fell hard. I started just making prettier lists and then eventually I broke down and got an Erin Condren planner and filled an etsy cart full of goodies.
Since then my planning has grown and changed from large scale EC planning to personal planner sized planning. I've also gone through heavy planning periods and low planning periods. Especially the year I live abroad doing my field research for my doctorate. Heavy budgeting and the difficulty of shipping Etsy purchases to tiny villages meant the planning took a backseat. However, once back in the US of A, planning has picked up again.
With the school and work and social plans I have had a few things on my plate the past few years and I've found planning to be not just as a way to keep this all organized but a fun and creative hobby. It has since turned into a bit of an obsession. I can't get enough planning in my spare time. So I've made this blog to be a place to keep my planning journey and possibly inspire others. Perhaps introduce some planning neophytes to planning and share or discuss with long time planner peeps!
This blog will hopefully be a place where you'll find planner spreads, sticker hauls, planner goody reviews, and a random assortment of other delightful planner bits and baubles. Enjoy!
